Sumiton Christian accepts students in grades K3- 12 from various backgrounds who will benefit from a challenging Christ-centered academic program.
An education at Sumiton Christian is based upon God's Word as the foundation for all learning, and through this realization, students will gain knowledge through a Christ-centered education to guide them into a Christ-centered life. We pride ourselves on being an academic leader in educational excellence. Boasting standardized test scores well above the national, state and regional averages. SCS is recognized as an Alabama Independent School Association Blue Ribbon school, a designation reserved for only a few select schools.
Student life outside the classroom is also an integral part of the SCS experience. We encourage students to pursue personal interests through our award-winning fine arts department, extensive athletic program and various clubs and organizations on campus. We believe the lessons learned inside and outside the classroom will help our students learn self-discipline, self-esteem, respect for others and selflessness.

Our Facilities
Sumiton Christian was founded in 1976 as a K4 and K5 program. It was housed in the Sumiton Church of God. Since that time, the school has grown to include three separate educational buildings and includes two libraries, two computer labs, a lunchroom, theatre arts stage, high school gymnasium and dedicated athletic fields.
