Praise Team
Our elementary and high school students join together weekly for chapel service. High school students help lead and participate in praise & worship. The Praise Team, part of the Music Arts Department, is made up of anointed student musicians, songwriters, and singers. It is our desire to create a worship experience where Holy Spirit inspired, pure-hearted, excellent worship connects our students with the heart of God in a meaningful way.
Choir
Choir at Sumiton Christian allows students to acquire knowledge in foundational studies in vocal techniques, sight singing, music theory concepts and music history. Choir is open to all students with an interest in singing. Elementary and High School students perform each year for the entire school family at our annual recital and they can participate in the annual theatre productions, awards day and graduation ceremonies. Selected high school choir members are invited to compete in the State Choir competition as well.
Private Lessons
Individual Piano and voice lessons are available each week for 30 minutes. Students can elect to attend lessons during PE or an elective class. The cost of lessons are $65 per month. The fee covers lessons and the book. Classes run during school months and conclude with a recital each May. Please contact the Elementary school office for more information.
