National Beta Club
Junior Beta Club
Between the Junior Beta Club (grades 6-8) and Senior Beta Club (grades 9-12), Beta Club has encouraged and rewarded exemplary student effort and achievement while cultivating the ideals of service and leadership for nearly seven million student. National Beta Club seeks to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students. Members have the opportunity attend in compete state and national competitions, camps and summits and apply for over $300,000 in available scholarships annually.

The National Honor Society recognizes outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS seeks to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in students. Members can apply for the $250,000 in available scholarships annually.
First Priority
Junior First Priority
First Priority is training and equipping young Christian leaders to reach their world for Christ. Not all high school kids are looking for an opportunity to rebel, but a lot of young people are searching for answers, identity and hope. It is First Priority’s goal to equip students to be evangelists and missionaries in their sphere of influence, living out their lives in a way that reveals God’s truth and the hope of Christ to their peers.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA is an interdenominational Christian sports ministry impacting the word for Jesus Christ through the influence of Christian athletes and coaches. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes vision is to transform coaches and players through huddle ministry, team Bible studies, chaplain programs and coach Bible studies along with outreach events like One Way 2 Play, drug free programs, school assemblies and the annual Fields of Faith.
Student Government Association
The mission of Student Government is to represent the student body to the faculty and administration. SGA is responsible for shaping much of the student experience at Sumiton Christian. Student Government is a highly active and visible organization seeking to guarantee a student voice and involvement in school decisions, to serve the common interest of students, to train ourselves in democratic government and to promote a range of activities from service projects like the blood drive to social events , such as coordinating Homecoming activities and events. SGA is students serving students.
Mu Alpha Theta
Mu Alpha Theta is a national high school honor society dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in school.
Drama Club
Junior Drama Club
The Drama club at Sumiton Christian seeks to promote an understanding and appreciation for dramatic arts and theatre arts education. The drama club students plan and assist with several special events and productions throughout the year. Theatre is an experience that offers the opportunity to contemplate oneself, celebrate life, challenge and consider perspectives and renew one’s view of the world by exploring art, performance, investing and participating in teamwork opportunities and enjoying and encouraging one another’s accomplishments.
Art Club
The mission of the Art Club is to stimulate, foster and promote interest in the arts and education of the fine arts. Art Club students volunteer for local organizations to promote the arts in various ways from face painting to arts advocacy. Club members also enjoy fellowship and honing their artistic skill with creative events throughout the area as well as helping organize the annual art show and competition.
Ronald McDonald Club
The students of the Ronald McDonald Club are committed to promoting volunteerism by serving the families residing at the Ronald McDonald House of Birmingham and collecting donations for necessities for the Ronald McDonald House.
Eagle Ambassadors
Eagle Ambassadors consist of exceptional junior and senior high students who have been picked by faculty and their peers to represent the school. Ambassadors represent and support the school in various capacities such as tutoring, providing tours to visitors, volunteering for community based charities and coordinating various events such as the school Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Candy Cane Grahams and more.
Walker County Junior Ambassadors
The Junior Ambassadors of Walker County seeks to instill the importance of charitable service within our community through various service projects and fundraising for programs in need. Ambassadors are selected by the Walker County Chamber of Commerce and typically volunteer over 100 hours of service each school year. Ambassadors have sponsored foster children’s Christmas presents through DHR, collect canned goods for local food banks, donated stuffed animals to the local American Red Cross for children who are victims of house fires, volunteered for the Daily Mountain Eagle’s Christmas Shoe Fund and participated in the Pets on Parade and provided pre-paid phone cards to victims of domestic violence and more.
4-H
4-H empowers students to work together and be catalysts for positive change in their communities and the world. 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization empowering students through the 4-H’s: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. 4-H brings youth and adults together to learn everyday skills with hands-on learning. Activities from animal and plant science to robotics, teach 4-Her’s problem-solving skills that make a positive impact upon their community. 4-H helps youth meet the diverse challenges of today’s world, build self-confidence, learn responsibility, and make positive decisions.
